2011 Christmas Party In Armenia Bonito
On Saturday we hosted our 4th annual Christmas party for the kids in the poor community of Armenia Bonito. It was astonishing. Over 230 kids showed up. That is our largest event to date.
The party started with games. The kids played frisbee, jump rope, soccer and their favorite…the parachute. We then took the kids into the community center and taught them two Spanish Christmas carols and Erin told the story of 
the birth of Christ. Mike then provided the kids with a gospel presentation. We concluded by giving each kid a plate of chicken, vegetables and rice and a Christmas gift. The gifts were handmade blankets, plastic soccer balls and gift bags full of small items.
The party was a great success. Each year we use this event to reach kids with whom we don’t normally interact. It is our desire that this fiesta helps to impact dozens of new families.
What a joy knowing 230 kids received a nutritious meal, a gospel presentation, a Christmas gift and the love and mercy of Jesus. If you want to watch a brief video of the event click HERE.
