A Little Fun After A Hard Week Of Work
The 17-person mission team from Rincon Mountain Presbyterian Church of Tucson, AZ concluded a trying and very productive week of ministry in Honduras. The team earned a little recreation time to end their week.
Thursday evening we took the group to a local indoor soccer facility to participate in a great cultural experience. We divided into three teams and played 10-minute games. The group sweated like never before and had a great time on the soccer field. Many had never played soccer before, but everyone had a great time.
Friday morning the entire group went for a hike in the rainforest. We hiked 1.2 miles up Pico Bonito Mountain. The turnaround point of the hike was at the base of a 100 ft. waterfall with a beautiful swimming hole. The group went swimming and ate lunch at one of the most beautiful locations on earth. It is not often many people experience a hike in a dense Central American jungle.
On Saturday we say goodbye to the Rincon group and take them to the airport. They have been a great blessing to our family, our team and our ministry.
