A Place To Put Your Head

Devin cuttingBack in July the mission team from Grace Community Church in Mobile, Alabama purchased and cut all the lumber we needed to build bunk beds.  The bunk beds are intended to allow future mission teams to easily sleep in our home in order to save the cost of a hotel.

In the past week Perry (a Honduran friend), Josh and Andy have been measuring, cutting, screwing, bolting and sanding bunk beds.  In all they completed the construction of 11 bunk beds.  We now have the ability to sleep a 22-person mission

We still have a little work to do.  The ladders have to be built and we still have to sand and treat the wood on some of the beds and we have to bolt on towel hooks.  But, for the most part they are done.  They are sturdy and come
The finished productcomplete with a 12-inch space underneath to store suitcases.

Our home comes complete with a large loft and a large master bedroom, which we refer to as the boys’ dorm and the girls’ dorm, respectively.  The dorms are a little cozy, but perfect for our need.
