Advanced Medical Leadership Training
For the next week our mission team is hosting MTW’s Advanced Medical Leadership Training (AMLT) conference. Thirty-five conferees and trainers have come to La Ceiba, Honduras for this event. Doctors, nurses and non-medical personnel will be provided the skills to meet the challenge of effective medical ministry in the developing world. This weeklong seminar is held annually in a developing country in the Western hemisphere.
Requests to MTW from the field for medical ministry worldwide have dramatically increased. It is crucial to adequately train those who will lead medical teams and those who plan to practice overseas longer term.
The group will spend several days in classroom and lab settings and will spend the final two days administering large community medical clinics here in La Ceiba. This is a wonderful opportunity to benefit the participants, the community and our ministry.
