Blocks, Bridges And Birds
Our 20-person short-term mission team completed their first full day of ministry. The two teams come Manor Presbyterian from Cochranville, PA and Covenant Community from Scottsdale, AZ.
Monday morning the teams simultaneously worked on two construction sites. They were both working on masonry work. Lots of blocks and cement were the order of the day. It was not as hot as usual so it was a great day for a little labor.
After lunch the team helped teach an English class to 30 students. In the beginning they worked on body parts and animals. The focus of the second part of class was having the kids read the passage about throwing the first stone. Each missionary provided individual instruction on reading and pronunciation to the Honduran students.
We concluded the evening with a homemade dinner at the Clow’s home (our teammates) and a devotional given from Mike.
