Census In Armenia Bonito
The community where we do most of our ministry work is called Armenia Bonito. Our team has been working on a door-to-door census in this area to better understand the people we work with and their needs. There are roughly 3,000 people and 400 houses that we have to cover.
Our census includes questions about each person in the household. We ask age, sex, full name, employment, health concerns, religion, church attending, and if the home has access to electricity and water. We are seeking to obtain this information for the entire village.
The residents have been surprisingly cooperative. People are very interested in providing information and they typically volunteer more. Our team is known by much of the community, but not all. So this is wonderful introduction for some.
This information is invaluable. We are gathering great data that will help us to better understand the people we serve and help us to better address their true needs.
