Church, Digging And Football Words
Our short-term mission team from Covenant Presbyterian Church in Paso Robles, CA is already busy. They are doing a wonderful job.
On Sunday we trained the team in Darkness 2 Light’s child abuse program. After the awareness training we took the team on a tour of La Ceiba. In the afternoon we hosted Gringo Church in our house then attended Honduran church in Armenia Bonito. It was a full day.
Monday ushered in the first day of labor for the team. In the morning they were divided into two groups for construction. Half of the team began work on a new house for a single mother and her six kids. They other half of the team began work on a guard’s quarters in our ministry center.
In the afternoon the team helped teach an English class. The students learned soccer terms. The team from Covenant then worked one-on-one with the students on pronunciation and reading.
Lots of great work so far from this grand team.
