Cups, Kids Club And Construction
The 11-person team from Chapel Hill Presbyterian Church in Douglasville, GA is doing a great job. With construction workers, Spanish speakers and a team full of good attitudes they are really diving in.
Monday morning begin with construction on two sites. The team continued work on a new home for a single mother in Armenia Bonito. They simultaneously worked on digging the foundation form our ministry center. After lunch the team helped with the English class for 27 students. The first part of the lesson was on table settings (forks, cups, plates, etc.) and the second part was on reading and pronunciation practice with a Bible verse from John.
Tuesday morning saw the team attack construction on both sites. They made massive headway on both the house for Argentina and on digging the footers and trenches for our ministry center. In the afternoon the team took over the Kids Club and made it their own. With Spanish speakers and kid-oriented helpers they were able to put their mark on every aspect. The 46 kids at Kids Club played games, sang songs, memorized a Bible verse, heard the story of Jesus laying down his life for us and completed a craft. In the evening they went out to a restaurant to eat and then over to the McCann’s home for dessert.
It has been amazingly hot, but everyone is drinking well and holding strong.
