Dorm Dance And The Finish Line

Since October our mission team and our Honduran workers have been laboring six days a week on our downtown ministry center. Our goal has been to make the first floor of our dormitory safe and livable by the time our first (of 10) summer mission teams arrives on June 4th. There has been this constant dance between our workers, and us “work fast…but not so fast that we run out of money.”

Now, here we are, just two short weeks away from the June 4th arrival of our first mission team. It is so close we can almost taste it. But, it is our usual nemesis, money, which may prevent us from making our deadline.

working on the sinks and showersStill to be completed before the mission team arrives are seven showers, seven sinks, five toilets (with stalls), seven ceiling fans, 28 electric sockets, seven light switches, a 12 foot x 40 foot security wall, construction of 11 bunk beds, a little bit of tile, one more coat of paint and spray for mosquitoes.

The workers are working, the missionaries are praying, but we are low on money. Will you prayerfully consider making a one-time, tax-deductible donation right now? Your gift will enable us to buy materials, pay Honduran laborers and hopefully complete the dormitory by the time the first mission team arrives on June 4th.
