Down But Not Out

Mike has now been on his back for 48 hours with “the worst flu I’ve ever had”. He appears to be over the worst of it all. But, it all hit hard and at a bad time. Mike has missed a final exam, Erin’s last piano playing in chapel, the last visit out to La Carpio to visit the kids, complete with a going away party, two other going away parties and a birthday party.  So, if the fever and the chills weren’t bad enough it has caused a big cramp in his ability to say goodbye to departing missionaries and the kids we have served.

Mike will make up the final exam early next week and is scheduled to leave next Saturday for a four day trip to our future home in La Ceiba, Honduras.

Please pray that Mike recovers well and that he has sense enough to not rush back into duty too rapidly.
