English As A Second Language - Ninth Class
Today was our ninth and final day of our English as a Second Language (ESL) class. Mike and Erin have taught ESL classes for 2 ½ months.Mike taught the first hour. He focused the whole hour on our student’s favorite topic…English idioms (tricky, sleep on it, etc.). After that hour the entire group of 60+ students and 8 teachers got together for a multicultural potluck. Everyone brought a food from their own country. We loved sampling the Costa Rican dishes. Erin’s pumpkin pie was a hit. The fellowship, music and food were wonderful.
We are so very pleased that we spent the last 10 weeks teaching this class. ESL is a ministry we hope to replicate in Honduras. The lessons we learned were invaluable.
