English Instruction In Armenia Bonito - Sixth Class

Erin heads up the classWe taught our sixth English as a Second Language (ESL) course in the community of Armenia Bonito.  This was the 6th of 10 weekly classes we will teach to this group. These classes are on Thursdays from 9am to 11am.

The entire class was taught on the subject of verbs.  Verb definitions and verb conjugation were covered.  This is turning out to be a favorite topic of our students.

After class we hosted a one hour health clinic.  We treated 20 patients in that time.  Most were regular patients that we see each week.  The biggest problem we continue to encounter is high blood pressure.

In addition we had two very important meetings in the community.  We met with a pastor of one of the existing churches and with the teacher of the elementary age school.  In both meetings we shared with them our vision and how we hope to serve the community.  We learned much about the needs of the community.  Both were very beneficial meetings.
