First Day Of Our Free Medical Clinic
Yesterday we put on a free medical clinic in the poor neighborhood of Armenia Bonito. Our visiting mission team from Grace Community Church in Mobile, AL worked hard. From 9am to 5pm we treated 137 patients.
Everything from fever to cerebral palsy was seen. However, the common theme was that the vast majority of kids were treated for anemia and parasitic worms. The poor diet and living conditions for these people were the cause. Medicine was provided free of charge and in some cases a month’s supply was given.
Each family was given an evangelism tract and told that Christ was the reason we were there. This was an amazing jumpstart to our work in that community. It was the first event of many we hope to put on in that community. On Friday we will return to Armenia Bonito for the second day of our clinic.
