First Short-Term Mission Team In Full Swing

The 12-person mission team from Faith Presbyterian Church in Ballentine, SC is doing well. It is hot and already they’ve had some long days, but they are troopers.

Sunday we trained the team in the Darkness to Light child molestation program, we gave them a tour of La Ceiba, a cultural briefing and they attended two worship services…welcome to Honduras.

building a houseMonday was their first full day of ministry in Armenia Bonito. In the morning the group did some construction on a new home for a single mother of three. They mixed mortar and added cinder blocks to the walls. This three-room house will be an amazing blessing to this family.

English classAfter lunch the group played with the local kids and had time to meet members of the community. They helped us teach an English class to 15 Honduran students. We started by teaching animals and body parts to the students. The mission team then worked one-on-one with Hondurans. They helped the students with pronunciation and vocabulary.
