Four Visits, Three Churches, Two Days
Our busy weekend of church visits began Saturday morning. Mike attended a very informative seminar on church leadership hosted by Phoenix United Reformed Church. Saturday evening Mike and Erin attended a couples social event at Desert Palms Church in Chandler, AZ.
Sunday began back at Desert Palms. Erin and Madison taught Sunday school to the younger kids, while Mike taught adult Sunday school to the adults. Both classes were well attended. Madison and Erin taught about the life of a kid in Honduras. Mike taught a lesson on prayer.
After Sunday school Mike preached the morning message at Desert Palms, then we attended a lunch hosted by the Mission Committee. This was a wonderful opportunity to get to know the Committee better.
In the evening we drove the four-hour roundtrip to Tucson to attend the evening worship service at Rincon Mountain Presbyterian Church. After church we had several wonderful conversations with people who will be attending the church’s mission trip to Honduras this summer.
