Frisbee, Fliers And Fun In Armenia Bonito

On Tuesday Mike took Josh, Jamie and Aaron out to Armenia Bonito.  This was their third day in a row spending substantive time out there.

We passed out fliers to promote a Senior health clinic we are going to host next Wednesday.  After we passed out some fliers we went to the soccer field in the center of the community and started throwing around a Frisbee and kicking a ball.  Within minutes a half dozen kids had joined us.

Playing with kids in Armenia BonitoWe had 12 -15 kids come and go, but over the next two hours we just played and talked with the kids in the community.  This was the middle of the day, so these were mostly kids who do not attend school.  We were able to have good conversations with a few of the kids and had fun with all of them.

Jamie "playing Frisbee" with the boysThis is an activity we plan on repeating many times over the next month.  We are trying to interact and build relationships with many of the kids.  Our goal is to launch a weekly kid’s Bible program soon.  Having an existing relationship makes it easier to share the Bible.

On Wednesday we will head back out for a repeat performance – more fliers to promote the upcoming health clinic and more games with kids.
