Goodbye And Thanks

Our 12-person mission team from Faith Church in Ballentine, SC has departed. On Saturday morning we took them to the airport after they served by our sides for a week.

theology class in Armenia BonitoOn Thursday they had a very busy day. In the morning they divided into two groups for construction. They continued work on Argentina’s new home and they began digging the foundation for the sports complex in our ministry center. In the afternoon they helped at our medical clinic and treated over 45 patients. One of the team members taught a one-hour theology course in Spanish to 27 adults in the community. And, we took 30 kids to the river in the afternoon. What an amazing day.

ministry centerFriday morning we continued construction work on Argentina’s house and our ministry center. After lunch and a few goodbyes we headed for the souvenir shop and then to our home for showers. Following dinner 10 of us went to the indoor soccer court for an hour of sweat and fun.

It was a week of heat and hard work, but we are so thrilled with all that the team accomplished.

On Saturday we will clean the house and prepare for the next short-term team’s arrival in the evening.  Welcome to Chapel Hill Presbyterian Church of Douglasville, GA.
