Honduras Update For June 30 at 11:45am
Our short-term mission team from Georgia has arrived at the airport in San Pedro Sula on time and with no delays. They experienced nothing abnormal on the three hour drive from La Ceiba to San Pedro Sula. They have checked in at the airport, paid their exit tax and they are awaiting their boarding call. Their flight is scheduled to leave for Atlanta in 30 minutes at 12:15pm.
I just watched a large rally on the local tv station. 5000+ peaceful demonstrators were showing their support for the current government and against the old president. Signs said, “CNN please report this”, “No Chavez, No Zelaya”, “Obama, listen to us”. They sang hymns and waved flags.
