In The Rain, In The Heat And On The Soccer Field
We are hosting a six-person team from Peace Presbyterian in Cary, NC. The weather has been unpredictable, but their spirits are high.
On Monday we focused our construction work on a new house for Maria, a single mother with five kids. It poured rain, but everyone moved forward eagerly. The cool rain was a great relief from the heat.
Monday afternoon we taught an English class for 25 students. The Hondurans loved working on reading and pronunciation with the mission team. They read a passage from the book of John.
Tuesday the group continued construction in the heat and topped off the afternoon with a great Kids Club for 30 kids.
The team has enjoyed playing soccer, jump rope and drawing with the kids. The Honduran kids are really enjoying the added playtime.
