Lumber, Goalie And English For Orphans

Tuesday was the second day in a row with beautiful weather.  We spent most of the day in  Armenia Bonito.

After completing our recent bunk bed construction (11 in all) we had some lumber left over.  We piled in into the truck and delivered it to the community President of Armenia Bonito.  Free, new lumber is a great asset for the community.

Mike at goalieWe then moved over to the field and played soccer with the kids for a few hours.  Mike found himself in front of the goal as the permanent goalie for a game, while Josh, Jamie and Andy played out in the field.  It was a hot day.  After some time under the hot sun we found ourselves covered in perspiration and exhausted.

Andy leading classWe concluded our time in Armenia Bonito by teaching an English class at the all boys orphanage called Niños de la Luz.  We are in the middle of teaching a two-month, twice a week English course to the orphans.  We had over 20 kids in attendance.  At each class the boys finish their time by receipting a Bible verse in English and Spanish.
