Madison In New York And Manor In La Ceiba
On Friday Madison safely arrived in New York City where she will serve as a cross-cultural missions intern for the entire month of July. She did well managing three international airports by herself. The rest of the staff arrives Saturday. Madison and the rest of the team will begin work serving the missionaries this weekend.
Manor Presbyterian Church of Cochranville, PA is concluding their very busy week of mission work in Honduras. In the past few days the 17-person team did construction, hosted a medical clinic, took 30 kids to the beach and handed out bags of food and bibles to Honduran families.
One of the exciting highlights of their week has been the distribution of food to the poor. The kids bible study at Manor raised over $300 and brought it to La Ceiba. We went to the store and purchased basic necessities…rice, beans, flour, coffee, sugar, milk, etc. The supplies, along with a bible and evangelism tract, were placed in bags and distributed to 18 of the poorest families in Armenia Bonito.
Manor is the first church to serve in La Ceiba on three occasions. They have become such a large part of our ministry. Their hard work and ability to think outside the box has been a major benefit to our ministry. They leave Saturday.
