New Technology At Church
For the last eight months we have been attending church at Chistiana Iglesia Berea here in San Jose, Costa Rica. This has been a great experience. The Spanish music and preaching has been wonderful. Our only real complaint has been that we have not been able to read all the words for the music. The church has been using a 1970s overhead projector. Because of this it has been very difficult to see the lyrics projected on the wall. Spanish is hard enough to understand. We don't need other handicaps.
As of this past Sunday the church
installed a modern projector with a laptop and PowerPoint. The words are now projected brightly and clearly on the wall. Now we can read everything extremely clearly. This aggressive leap into 1980s technology has made it so much easier to worship.

This aggressive leap into 1980s technology has made it so much easier to worship. We greatly appreciate the Latin culture. We understand that things move slower then we are used to. We embrace that there are differences between the way things are and the way we like them. We never want to thrust ourselves into a position that we impose our “we can fix it” mentality on others.
That being said… praise God for technology.
