New York City – Day 14 of 31

While we are here for our missions training we only have one full day off out of the entire 31 days. That day was today! So we made the best of it. Here is a recap of what we did for fun in the last 24 hours.

Yesterday evening we went out to an Indian restaurant with the Bear family. The Bears are a very nice missionary family headed to the UK. Great food and better company. After dinner we watched a movie at a theatre on Time Square. We got home pretty late.

Sean McCann cooking blueberry pancakesThis morning we went to the McCann’s place for breakfast. The McCann’s are our future teammates in Honduras. Sean cooked blueberry pancakes for a large group of people. Good food and fellowship.

After breakfast we took a one hour and Mike and Maddy at Coney Island30 minute train ride out to Coney Island. We rode the Cyclone rollercoaster, ate a hot dog from Nathan’s, walked along the board walk and played on the beach. After a long train ride home it is now time to relax. Erin is cooking beef stew for dinner….mmm.

Check back frequently in July as we will be sharing lots of stories and pictures from our month in New York City.
