New York City – Day 9 of 31

Mike patching the wallIn the morning we met out at Iglesia Nueva Vida in Queens. Our work consisted of cleaning up the nursery and preparing it so that we can paint it later in the week.

In the afternoon we listened to the last lecture by Bill Yarbrough. He taught us about urban church planting.

Both Erin and Mike turned in our Ethnographic Observations and Cultural Interviews. These are weekly assignments that must be turned in by each missionary. In one assignment we had to make observations and report on an ethnic observation. The other assignment is an interview done on the streets with a random person. We both gathered interesting information.

Check back frequently in July as we will be sharing lots of stories and pictures from our month in New York City.
