Pneumonia, Cyst And The Gospel
On Thursday we hosted our weekly medical clinic in the super-poor community of Armenia Bonito. Thirty-five people were treated. Lots of patients we had never seen before received care.
Mike managed patient intake. At intake Mike checked blood pressure and blood sugar. He took each patients primary complaint and registered vitals. Mike also prayed with every person and provided them with evangelism tracts to read while the waited.
Erin provided professional and personal care for everyone. She saw some hard cases. An 84-year-old woman had congestive heart failure. Erin lanced, drained and cleaned a cyst on a five-year-old boy's leg. She also treated a three-year-old girl for severe pneumonia.
Our teammate John staffed the pharmacy and provided instructions for taking the medicine everyone received.
Justice, the gospel and the love of Jesus Christ were shared with dozens of needy people.
