Pregnancy Clinic In Armenia Bonito

Today we hosted a free pregnancy clinic for the ladies of Armenia Bonito.  The clinic was held in the one room community building.  From 9am to noon we saw 21 people…that’s one every 8 ½ minutes.

Mike registered them, took their blood sugar, blood pressure and weight.  Erin measured their bellies to determine due date, examined them, administered drugs and gave medical advice.  Only two of the women we saw had visited a doctor for their pregnancy and nearly none of them had an idea as to what date they were due.

We saw women from age 16 to 45.  We shared Christ with each of them.  Prenatal vitamins were given to all.

This was our second clinic in the poor neighborhood of Armenia Bonito.  We look forward to more.
