School Supplies Provided For 400 Kids

The Honduran school year runs from February to November. Public school is available up to sixth grade. But, even in the public schools kids have to provide all of their own school supplies. In Honduras the unemployment is nearing 50% and the average person make $3,000 per year. With that kind of economy some families can’t afford to purchase school supplies and simply don’t send their kids to school

school supplies to kidsWith the generosity of supporters from the U.S. our team provided all the needed school supplies for over 400 kids in the poor community of Armenia Bonito. This made school a reality for many kids who would otherwise not been able to afford school this year.

This is the third year in a row that our team has distributed school supplies to the families in Armenia Bonito.
