Three Boxes Of Basics
Recently we learned of three families in Armenia Bonito that do not have the basic necessities to survive. Each family consists of a mom, no dad and several kids. The families have no income and are out of food.
We went to the store and asked for a discount. We purchased rice, beans, flour, sugar, milk and a few other things. They were placed in a box with an evangelism tract. The items were given to a local Pastor to distribute in the name his church.
There is a natural human desire to help every person. We get asked daily for money, shoes, paper, etc. But, we do not want people to look at us like Santa Clause. Stuff is not the answer, Jesus is. The people in Armenia Bonito are so poor that a small gift can make a big difference. We have to be careful and weigh each circumstance. Which person needs prayer and counseling and which person needs prayer, counseling and a box of food.
