Walls, Watermelons And Water

The short-term mission team from Christ Community Church in Gainesville, FL has such great hearts.

Tuesday saw the team with wonderful energy. They started the morning again doing construction on a home renovation for the Alvarado family and also on our ministry center in Armenia Bonito.

In the afternoon they organized and put on a great Kids Club in Armenia Bonito. The snack, the craft and the lesson all focused on watermelon. The black seeds are our sin, the red is Christ’s blood and the outside is heaven.

Wednesday morning the team stayed at the downtown ministry center, home of their sleeping quarters, and took hundreds of buckets of cement to the second floor. They also helped us move and organize ministry supplies.

After lunch we all took a couple dozen kids to a local swimming hole. This was a very special treat for these kids. The local kids seldom receive attention from adults or older teens.
