Yesterday our very cool attorney went to Tegucigalpa, the capital of Honduras, to file our final paperwork for residency and for the forming of the Presbyterian Church in Honduras (PCH). This has been a long process with a mountain of paperwork.
The residency paperwork will give us a 3 year unrestricted residency status. No more leaving the country every 90 days. We will not be citizens, but we will no longer be tourists.
The PCH paperwork will allow us to have a legal Nongovernmental Organization (NGO). The forming of this NGO will give us a legal entity that enables us to start a church, buy property, employee staff, and much more.
Nothing is complete yet, but our part is all done and it is now up to the Government of Honduras and the will of God.
