The last 24 hours we have had lots of fun. And, it’s been really inexpensive…gotta love it.
Yesterday evening we got 50% off discount tickets to go see the Broadway musical The Putnam County Spelling Bee. We really enjoyed the show. Lots of laughs.
This morning we had the morning off, so we went to the Cloisters. This is a museum where they show medieval era, Christian, art and relics. Lots of great artifacts from an era that we love. Since it is a public funded museum we only paid $3 for the three of us to get in.
In the evening we went out to Shea Stadium to watch a baseball game between the New York Mets and the Washington Nationals. Twenty-five of us missionaries and our kids watched the Mets loose 2-6. These tickets were given to us for free by one of the churches we have been working with.
Our training has been really great. But, it sure is nice to get a chance to experience what New York has to offer.
Check back frequently in July as we will be sharing lots of stories and pictures from our month in New York City.
