New York City – Day 29 of 31

We just completed our last Sunday in New York.  In the morning we went to our usual 3 ½ hour, Spanish language service at Nueva Vida.  They invited us all up on stage and the entire congregation prayed for us.  Then they gave us a large quantity of CDs with Spanish language worship music and sermons as farewell gifts.  What a great congregation.

After a late lunch we then went to Redeemer and heard a great sermon on the sixth Commandment.  We have really enjoyed worshiping there on Sunday evenings.

The McCanns and the Pettengills - Team HondurasFollowing the second service we went to Sean and Lindsey McCann’s apartment for dinner and our first official Team Honduras meeting.  The McCanns will be our teammates in Honduras and we all wanted to start talking about some of the important issues before we got on the mission field.  We got quite a bit accomplished. We are really looking forward to working with the McCanns…they are good people.  Here is the first ever picture of Team Honduras.

Check back frequently in July as we will be sharing lots of stories and pictures from our month in New York City.
