Today was the third day of our English as a Second Language (ESL) class. Mike and Erin are teaching ESL classes for two and a half months. There were 90 students in attendance at the class today. Mike and Erin’s class had 18 students.
Erin taught about common grammatical errors. She also lead the group in a game of 20 questions. This was a big hit and required great thought on behalf of the students. There was also a lesson on common travel terms. Each student was asked to pick a vacation destination and describe their mode of transport, destination, packing list, travel concerns, etc. This was a topic that the students requested and resulted in much discussion.
This was another great class. We are learning equally as much about ESL instruction as the students are learning about English. We look forward to next week.
