Today Mike and Madison joined several other missionaries in taking 32 kids to the Childrens Museum in San Jose, Costa Rica. The kids were all from La Carpio, a poor community where tens of thousands of people live in shanty homes built of scrap metal and plywood.
We were able to secure a bus to transport the kids, lunch to feed the kids and admission to get the kids in the museum. This was a rare treat for these kids as most of them seldom leave La Carpio. This was a great chance for them to see the world beyond their boarders.
This was an absolute pleasure for us to see their faces as they discovered life outside of La Caprio. Take a look at the video posted on Erin’s blog.
