Disaster Response Ministry

On Sunday Mike and Sean leave for MTW’s Disaster Response training in Pennsylvania.  The training lasts until May 10th.  It prepares volunteers to respond rapidly to calls around the world to bring medical care, crisis counseling support, and engineering/construction assistance after a disaster strikes.

Erin attended this training several years ago.  This will provide us with three members of our Honduras team that will be certified to respond to worldwide disasters.

Some of the training will include disaster assessment, food and water safety, psychological first aid, knots, rigging, and survival, radio and GPS operations, land mine awareness, helicopter safety and much more.
