Our short-term mission team from Georgia just arrived home safely in Atlanta. Their flight just landed in Georgia and they are going through customs. This morning the team left La Ceiba via bus and traveled across Honduras without incident. They boarded their flight and departed San Pedro Sula on time. We can now officially state that even with political upheaval the mission team came, served and returned home without any problems.
The old President of Honduras has vowed he will return to Honduras on Thursday. The UN, the U.S., and most regional leaders are calling for the return of the old President. It is a political war of words that looks to reach a head later this week. The good news is that the streets are quiet and Hondurans are going about the business. The government has even lifted the mandatory curfew. Cool heads and discourse are prevailing. Violence and chaos have been absent. We ask you to pray it stays that way.
