On Monday the very first work was done on our property in Armenia Bonito. Five men with machetes were hired to cut back the vegetation on the property. These men will be working for at least another weak on this project. In the past six months the grass and bushes have grown eight feet. The first thing we must do before anything else can be done is cut back our mini jungle.
I know, I know it’s not very exciting. But, this was one of those bust the bottle of champagne on the side of the new boat kinda days. This two-acre plot of jungle belongs to our ministry, and these were the first (baby) steps toward what is going to be something very exciting. If we understand God’s will we may soon be building a church, a medical clinic, a school and more on this property.
Armenia Bonito is a 3,000-person community occupied by the extremely poor of Honduras. Most people can’t afford school or visits to the doctor. There are only three tiny churches serving this large community. With lots of prayer and a few thousand more days like today we just might end up glorifying God out here.
