The Advanced Medical Leadership Training (AMLT) we are hosting in Honduras comes to a close on Sunday. But, before we send the 35 participants home they must put all they have learned to the test. The “final exam” for these doctors, nurses and non-medical personnel is to host two full-scale medical clinics in Honduras.
On Friday we organized a medical clinic in the community of Sambo Creek. Sambo Creek is a population of predominantly Garifuna people. The Garifuna are the largest under reached people group in Honduras. The AMLT participants put on a clinic and treated over 200 individuals. The people received prayer, evangelism tracts, evangelistic messages, professional medical examinations, onsite labs and free medicine.
This was a great benefit to our ministry, the people of Sambo Creek and Christ. We even had visits from a local television news crew and a local elected representative of the Honduran Congress. On Saturday we will host a similar clinic in Armenia Bonito
