Septic Tank, Puppets And Baleadas

Our 20-person short-term mission team is doing great. The two 10-person teams come from Manor Presbyterian from Cochranville, PA and Covenant Community from Scottsdale, AZ.

work on the ministry centerTuesday morning the hot weather returned and the team plowed right ahead and worked on two construction sites. At Maria’s house they built the wall several feet higher and started digging a septic tank. On the ministry center the team added several feet to the walls on the guard shack. It was hot and hard work and they did great.

For lunch we ate a meal of national foods prepared by a local family on the open flame stove.

Kids Club puppet showIn the afternoon we hosted a Kids Club for over 50 kids. We played soccer and blew bubbles. The kids sang songs and then watched a puppet show about God making us perfect on the inside. We took instant pictures of the kids and put the photos in frames for the kids to take home.

Our house is crowded, lines in front of the bathrooms are long and everyone is hot, but the Lord is being glorified.
