Cinderblocks, River And Injections

the Hawkes familyThe six-person mission team from Peace Presbyterian in Cary, NC is working strong and about to bring a close to their Honduras experience.

In the morning on both Wednesday and Thursday the group worked on construction in the blazing heat. They sifted sand, mixed mortar and laid row after row of cinderblocks. They nearly completed all the walls on a new home for Maria and her five kids.

Sper HeroWednesday afternoon the team took dozens of kids to a local swimming hole for an afternoon of relief from the heat. The local kids just love the attention they get from the adults.

Thursday we put on a medical clinic and treated over 35 patients. The team helped in all areas. It was a busy day with lots of sick people. Erin gave injections to four people, treated a major skin infection and a painful kidney infection.
