Last English Class

On Monday we taught our last weekly English class before we leave for the U.S. on September 6th. Our teammate Kathy joined in on the fun so that we could officially turn the reins over to her.

Madison taught the first half of the class on body parts. After a time of memorization and pronunciation she turned the lesson into a series of games. The students really enjoy Madison’s energy.

During the second half of the class Kathy, Madison and Mike broke the class into three groups and worked with the students on vocabulary, reading and pronunciation. With our groups we read John 8:1-11.

Over the past two years we have found ESL classes to be a very valuable tool in our work. In addition to providing an important skill for future employment we have used our English classes to build stronger relationships and teach the gospel. We look forward to teaching more classes when we return to Honduras in April of 2011.
