The 10-person team from Valley Springs Presbyterian Church in Roseville, CA is here. They are our 10th (of 16) short-term mission team of the summer of 2012. In numerous ways Valley Springs has been a huge supporter of this ministry from the very beginning, but this is their first trip to work by our sides here in Honduras.
After a long red-eye flight on Friday and Saturday the team received their initial briefing and orientation. On Sunday the team took a tour of La Ceiba, attended Gringo Church, Spanish language church and received child abuse prevention training.
This predominantly youth filled mission team will spend the week working with us in Armenia Bonito just outside of La Ceiba, Honduras. The workweek will begin Monday with construction and the teaching of an English class.
