The two short-term mission teams currently serving with us in Honduras have great attitudes. We are excited to serve with them.
The 13-person team from Peace Presbyterian Church of Cary, NC has been serving in La Fe and in our home for single mothers, Puerta de Esperanza. Both Monday and Tuesday they did some construction work in La Fe. On Monday they helped host a medical clinic that treated 45 patients. On Tuesday they hosted a Kids Club for 45 kids and taught the kids a great bible lesson.
The 8-person team from Covenant Presbyterian Church of Paso Robles, CA has been working in Armenia Bonito. On both Monday and Tuesday morning they did construction work. They worked on a new house for the Hernandez family and at our ministry center. Monday afternoon they hosted an English class for 30 students and helped teach them body parts and a passage from John. On Tuesday afternoon they helped teach Kids Club to 75 kids. They taught a lesson on “why worry” and celebrated six birthdays.
The next few days look to be awesome with a couple of river trips for the kids, another medical clinic, more construction and much more fun.
