As fall settles in Team Honduras is busy with daily ministry. However, fall also means it is time for a little spiritual growth for our missionaries. We have started a new round of books studies for our team. All three weekly studies are lead by Mike P.

The men of Team Honduras are studying the book Ten Who Changed the World by Daniel L. Akin. This book provides biographical studies of 10 missionaries who impacted the kingdom. Each chapter covers a new missionary. Mike P., John and Mike T. are enjoying looking at stories about these great servants.

The ladies of Team Honduras are studying Surprised by Suffering by R. C. Sproul. This book does a wonderful job breaking down the truths about joy and suffering. Sproul looks at myths, misconceptions and what the bible says about joy and suffering. Mike P., Erin, Jennifer, Ashley, Kate, Kathy and Shannon are discussing these vital topics.

Hector, our Honduran teammate working with StreetKids, and Mike P. are studying Alegría Indestructible (Indestructible Joy) by John Piper. This is a Spanish language study of Piper’s book about finding our joy in Christ.

These types of studies help us to dive deeper into biblical truth and help us to supplement the feeding and spiritual care of our teammates. As we study together we are also taking an interest and a role in nurturing each other.
