It is just astonishing what God has done in La Ceiba, Honduras in 2012. Here is a quick highlight of some of the exciting ministry work. A year of ministry in blog posts, pictures and video:
January
School supplies were given out to 467 kids.
Our home for teenage moms and their babies opened.
February
Started working in the community of La Fe.
Started a ministry to homeless kids.
Hosted 70 medical clinics in 2012.
March
Weekly discipleship with the boys and girls.
Treated 13 boys to a day of indoor soccer and a gospel presentation.
April
Mike’s 1st of three articles were reprinted by The Gospel Coalition.
We took 10 girls out for a special day.
May
We started using our 2-acre ministry center for daily activities.
Erin taught pregnancy classes for new moms.
June
We hosted two mission teams simultaneously for the first time.
We taught four, 10-week ESL courses in Armenia.
July
Our daughter served as a missionary in Belize for two weeks.
We hosted a huge medical clinic in La Fe.
August
Our new teammate Jennifer arrived.
A new home was built for the Ochoa family.
Hosted 16 short-term mission teams in the summer.
September
Our StreetChild drop-in center began operation.
Presbyterian denomination recognized by the Honduran government.
October
We hosted our 2nd annual Honduras Women’s retreat.
Mike attended a leadership event in Colorado.
November
Our new teammate Lyssa arrived.
We hired a Honduran doctor to run our medical clinic in Armenia Bonito.
December
Seven scholarship kids completed a year of high school.
Christmas party for 270 kids.
We hired a Honduran Pastor for our church plant in Armenia Bonito.
