Manor Ends A Great Week

IMG_3738This week we hosted a short-term mission team from Manor Presbyterian Church of Cochranville, PA. The six missionaries were flexible, God-honoring and hard working.

The group spent a good portion of their week building us a shack on the roof of our downtown ministry center. They hauled the supplies to the top of the second floor, cut the wood and built it from scratch. This was a whole bunch of hard work in the hot sun.

On the same property they helped us pour a concrete floor for the second level of our other building. This we a whole bunch of fast and aggressive work. They worked with our Honduran laborers to spread the concrete over the rebar as it was pumped from the truck.

IMG_3697The team had lots of interaction with Hondurans, once again proving that a desire to love is more important than the ability to speak Spanish. They spent several days hanging out and playing with homeless kids in our Peter Project. They helped to teach an English class in Armenia Bonito and also helped to put on two Kids Clubs for 90 kids. The group from Manor also spent lots of time helping with our medical clinic in Armenia Bonito.

We are sad to see them go, but excited knowing we will see some of them again this summer. If you’d like to see a short video of their time in Honduras click HERE.
