Busy Week For Grace And Trinity

Our first two short-term mission teams of the summer have finished their week in La Ceiba and are headed home. Trinity Presbyterian from Pennsylvania brought a 15-person team and Grace Community from Alabama brought an 11-person team.

IMG_4540On Thursday the entire group spent their third and final day in Armenia Bonito. The non-medical contingency continued construction on a new home for the Guevara family in the morning. In the afternoon they interacted with members of the community, took community tours and played soccer against our construction workers. One of the wonderful blessings they provided was discipleship for Pastor Jesús and his wife. Pastor Bryars and his wife each sat down separately with their counterparts and shared through a translator.

IMG_4548The medical folks hosted a health fair that was attended by over 100 souls. They provided lots of great information on how to care for and take care of their bodies. The group then hosted their third and final day of medical clinics in Armenia Bonito. Throughout the week the team treated 402 patients.

On Friday the team had a well-deserved day off and took a boat trip out to the islands off the shore of La Ceiba.

These two teams were an incredible blessing to our ministries and to our mission team.
