17-Days In The U.S. – Part 3

photoOn Sunday, Mike left Florida bound for Arizona. On Monday and Tuesday Mike participated in the mission conference put on by Catalina Foothills Church (CFC) of Tucson, AZ.

Monday morning Mike had breakfast with the missions coordinator for CFC. For lunch Mike joined the pastors and leadership of CFC for an intimate lunch with Stuart Briscoe. Dr. Briscoe is an 83-year-old retired pastor and author of over 100 books. The group discussed theology, church policy and missions. Monday evening Mike attended the general session of the CFC missions conference with 200 other participants.

On Tuesday Mike met with the pastor of Rincon Mountain Presbyterian Church in Tucson. Mike and Phil talked about God’s work in Honduras and our families. They enjoyed a wonderful time of fellowship and prayer.

photo 1Tuesday evening Mike and Rodney Davila, MTW missionary to Costa Rica shared with the high school youth group of CFC. Mike talked about the kids of Honduras who shared a similar age with these kids, but shared different life experiences. Mike also invited the kids to participate in CFC’s mission trip to Honduras this summer.

Mike will continue sharing our ministry in Tucson for a few more days.
