The Taxman Cometh

in godBy now you have filed your 2014 taxes. Uncle Sam has agreed to give you some of your money back and you don’t know what to do with that tax return. We are here to make sure the temptation is not too great for you to handle (1 Corinthians 10:13). We want to help you give back to God sacrificially (Ephesians 5:1), to help others (Hebrews 13:16) and to serve the poor in his name (Luke 12:33).

Did you know?…if you make a onetime contribution to our ministry it is a tax-deductible donation. Our mission-sending agency, MTW, makes it quick and easy with an online giving directly from your credit or debit card to our ministry account. You can redirect God’s resources away from government coffers and toward the expansion of God’s global kingdom.

taxesIn Scripture God is clear what he wants from us (Luke 6:38, Luke 3:11, Matthew 6:3-4, Proverbs 28:27). Jim Elliot, missionary to Ecuador and martyr for Christ said, “He is no fool who gives up what he cannot keep to gain that which he cannot lose.” British theologian and author, C.S. Lewis stated, “I do not believe one can settle how much we ought to give. I am afraid the only safe rule is to give more than we can spare.” And, Pastor Tim Keller proclaimed, “Nothing that you have not given away will really be yours.”

If you would like to make a quick and easy, onetime, tax-deductible contribution to our mission efforts in Honduras with your debit or credit card simply click HERE. We are still in desperate need of additional finances. If we don’t have the sufficient funds we will not be able to return to Honduras as we have planned on May 9th. Please prayerfully consider giving some of that tax return to the expansion of God’s kingdom and helping us get back to Honduras.
