On Friday we attended a meeting held by the U.S. Embassy for U.S. citizens living in EG. The U.S. Embassy is located in Malabo (on the island of Bioko), but the Embassy staff came over to our city of Bata to better facilitate the meeting for those U.S. citizens who live on the mainland.
The meeting was attended by nine people, who ranged from missionaries to oil workers. We discussed security, emergency protocol, absentee voting, and more.
The Embassy staff accepted U.S. passport applications, provided notary services and accepted completed absentee voter registration forms.
It was good to finally meet with the Embassy staff and hear their views on things.
